Black Women Cook

Transforming Palates to Our Diverse Cultures

Black Women Cook is an opportunity reimagined  in the virtual environment for women to connect in their kitchens while learning new and innovative techniques in preparing food. The goal is for Black Women to experience the joy of cooking in their own kitchen, while making healthier ingredient choices and ways to prepare meals. Black Women are twice as likely to die from heart disease and stroke than their White counterparts.

Black Women Shoot

Firearm Education & Practice

Like the gender gap, the education gap in gun ownership is particularly pronounced among non-Black owners. Black Women are one of the fastest growing demographics of gun owners in the country, however they are still the group that need more access to this type of education and practical training.  WATE aims to change that narrative by curating events that expose Black Women to proper techniques and form as well recognizing that the policies and mental health evaluations & screenings  that need to be in place to protect one another are essential to allow law abiding citizens  to own a firearm.  In the meantime check our some our our past shooting events.

We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.
