Black Women Cook

Transforming Palates to Our Diverse Cultures

Black Women Cook is an opportunity reimagined  in the virtual environment for women to connect in their kitchens while learning new and innovative techniques in preparing food. The goal is for Black Women to experience the joy of cooking in their own kitchen, while making healthier ingredient choices and ways to prepare meals. Black Women are twice as likely to die from heart disease and stroke than their White counterparts.

Black Women WorkOut

Health is Wealth. Lets Get Physical.

Bring it on ladies. We work together to make physical lifestyle changes that give us more time with our significant others, children, family and communities. Let's get that heart rate up!

Black Women Shoot

Firearm Education & Practice

Like the gender gap, the education gap in gun ownership is particularly pronounced among non-Black owners. Black Women are one of the fastest growing demographics of gun owners in the country, however they are still the group that need more access to this type of education and practical training.  WATE aims to change that narrative by curating events that expose Black Women to proper techniques and form as well recognizing that the policies and mental health evaluations & screenings  that need to be in place to protect one another are essential to allow law abiding citizens  to own a firearm.  In the meantime check our some our our past shooting events.

Black Women Read

Reading and Thought Provoking Discussion

Providing Black Women with an opportunity to share literary experiences through discussion & reading works that encourage self healing. Promoting writing literacy and advocacy in self published work.

Black Women Teach

Subject Training Led by Women

Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.

Black Women Dance

Our Diverse Musical Sounds Influence Our Diverse Movements

This is an area where we want our dancing community's help in teaching us how to be agile while feeling the music throughout our bodies. Are you a dancer, or just light on your feet. Get in touch with us today and see how you can lend a helping hand with this initiative.

Black Women Swim

Beginners & Intermediate Swim Lessons

Swimming is a life skill and we are actively seeking support through donations of a space or service to empower women in our community to learn to swim. If you have any ideas, please shoot us an email and we'll do the footwork for funding and our future Black Women Swim initiative.

Black Women Grow

See the beauty in nature. Learn to plant. Grow your food.

We are so ready to begin learning how Mother Nature's beauty bloom. Join us this spring (2024) as we pilot our Black Women Grow program for beginners. We'll learn how to be plant parents and what it takes to sustain our nutrition through growing our own food. Children, Newbies, & Seniors welcome. Stay tuned for more updates on this page.

Black Women Give

Give a helping hand to our communities through service or any type of donation.

This is our version of come as your are, give what you can, and be grateful and giving because we all need support. We have multiple events in place under this initiative. Check out what's coming up.
